Responsible organisation
Every public guide is published by Bearing. Bearing is independent of the British Army, the Ministry of Defence and Army Careers. Official Army Careers guidance, your recruiter and your joining instructions remain the authority for current requirements, dates and decisions.
We do not currently name an individual military, recruiting or medical expert as the author of these guides. We do not invent qualifications or imply that a source check makes Bearing an official or clinical authority.

Bearing is the responsible organisation for this independent, source-aware joining-preparation guidance.
Bearing source review team
The Bearing source review team checks linked sources, freshness dates, scope and uncertainty notes before public guides are published or updated.
Source review means checking the linked official or public-health pages, recording when they were checked, keeping route scope visible and marking details that may change. It is an editorial accountability process, not an Army assessment, medical review or selection prediction.
Corrections and updates
When a source, route stage or preparation detail changes, Bearing should update the relevant guide, its source-checked date and its update note. If a claim cannot be checked, it should be labelled as uncertain or removed rather than presented as a fact.
To flag an error or a changed official requirement, use the support contact in the published legal details and include the guide title and the source that prompted the correction. Do not send medical details, identity documents or another person's private information.
